Awake
from slumber to
creation sounds
in ancient days
clutching
broken time
like angels awaiting
messengers,
longer
in some
moments than other.
Monica Goldberg is an Australian surrealist writer and artist. She has been published in journals such as Etchings 4 (Ilura press 2008) and Poetica and has poems forthcoming in Extempore journal and Every Day Poets. She has taught accredited writing workshops in numerous community centers and has worked as a photographer and an English high school teacher. Her first novel is a rather quirky postmodern post holocaust and new age exploration of Jewish identity.
