No one is miraculous.
Except for the customers
rearranging puzzles
of fractured worlds
with the graceful icing
of lightheaded maturity.
Frozen realities melting
onto sloping foundations
of crooked memories
stretching hearts
orchestrating shadows
that centre the landings.
For prayers waiting for detection.
Monica Goldberg is a surrealist Australian poet and fiction writer. She has worked as a high school teacher, short film producer, journalist, photographer and radio announcer. Her short stories and poems have been published in numerous journals including Etchings 2008, Ilura Press and One Eighth Vulture. Her first novel is a rather quirky post modern, post holocaust and new age exploration about growing up.
