Noah and Wine

-Elvis  Alves

Janaury 26, 2011

Drunken Noah

Steers the ark with

One hand, searching for

Land

The covenant on board

Moves and almost smashes

Into tiny pieces

Here comes Ham, mad

But sympathetic to his father’s

Behavior

They have been at sea far

Too long

Elvis Alves was born in Guyana, South America and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He holds a B.A., graduating with high honors in religion, from Colgate University and a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. He lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
