Spiritual Birth

-Michal Mahgerefteh

November 11, 2010

È ”The angel of God encamps around His reverent ones, and releases them.“

                                                               — Tehillim, Psalm 3

I.

Within the brume, wings

flutter in unison, rising high

like billowing clouds and with

fingers upon harp and lyre

spawn the I AM awareness

across my planetary home.

II.

In bed, swirling in a thin layer

of emotions, and as Michael,

Gabriel, Uriel and Raphael stand

guard at my bed and without

any residue of sin, my I AM

intensifies; tier upon tier of fiery

threads expand in ever-widening

circles, amassing my strength to

face each day with a “breath of fire.”

III.

The veil between the worlds

parts, the Eternal revealed

as brilliant as a thousand suns,

repeated chants that muted

the voice of sin over the City

of Gold where kings and prophets

are a memory of ancient glory.

IV.

As the sun breaks through

strands of morning mist,

they ascend unto God, but

their essence remains in the

pulsing realm of thoughts.
